Frequently Asked Questions

What level of service should I get?

The best servicing option will be dependent on a number of factors, such has your vehicle’s age, mileage, model and condition. An oil and filter change is an ideal maintenance option between services. A standard service is a good alternative for low-mileage vehicles instead of an annual full service or for high-mileage vehicles as a bi-annual check. For most vehicles that are regularly used, a full service is recommended every year.

When should I get my car serviced?

As a general rule, it is recommended to get an interim service (our standard service option) every six months or earlier if you’ve done 6,000 miles since your vehicle’s last service. A full service should be carried out once a year or every 12,000 miles, whichever is earliest. This can vary based on the vehicle make and model so it is worth checking the manufacturer servicing schedule, which can be found in the owner’s manual or service schedule booklet. Modern vehicles with on-board computer systems will let you know when a service is due and if there are any faults. Even if you don’t have a modern car, there may be warning signs, such as a car making unusual noises or handling differently. If this occurs it is recommended to get the vehicle checked immediately rather than waiting for the scheduled interval.

When is my service due?

The best way to find out is by checking the owner’s manual or service booklet, which will show the vehicle’s recommended service intervals. You can also look at your last service receipt to calculate when it is due next. Some modern vehicles will display service reminders.
